Prior to working independently, I held a number of senior HR roles with leading legal, IT and financial services organisations including Ernst & Young, Clifford Chance, Denton Wilde Sapte; and previously for Marks & Spencer and Severn Trent Water Authority.

I have significant strategic, commercial experience working directly with client facing business units as an integrated member of the Leadership Team and operated at Board level, driving practice and revenue growth with particular emphasis on the people agenda.

Sustained and profitable growth of a business is a key driver – as too is managing and developing the future leaders of the business. It has been this aspect of my experience over the years, working with leadership-track candidates and transitioning partners, managing partners and senior executives, which has given me enormous satisfaction and enjoyment. Supporting the release, expansion and realising of potential in already high achieving professionals has been a tremendous pleasure and privilege.

  • a newly appointed partner during their first year of transition;
  • an HRD transitioning into a leadership role for a newly formed business unit, integrating six practice areas and their respective HR teams;
  • a senior partner who needed to address their interpersonal skills if they wanted to progress to a significant ‘leadership’ role;
  • a pre-partnership candidate to enhance and maximise personal presence and impact;
  • a CFO transitioning into a new role and leading a large Finance Department through an ambitious change programme;
  • several partners on a leadership programme aimed at future leaders of the firm; and
  • a senior partner relocating to a leadership role in an overseas office.
